Food is about where we are from, where we’ve been, where we are, where we dream to go. Food reflects our tribes and traditions. Food is culture. Rice is prepared and consumed by cultures in just about every country in the world. This simple grain makes its trek around the globe and returns to us as some of the most exciting cuisine!
At the festival, rice will be featured prominently in dishes from cuisines all around the globe, highlighting the role of rice in food and culture. Forty hand selected food vendors paired with a curated representation of regional and local wines.
Pre-festival VIP events/dinners featuring regional chefs will feature hand selected wines for each course.
Beverage and Cooking Demos
Cooking demos and wine blending seminars will allow attendees to meet the winemakers & brewmasters.
Attendees will have the option to purchase a passport, entitling them to bites from our rice vendors. Participants with stamped passports will be entered to win an international adventure to one of Davis’ sister cities.

Cali Rice Fest will offer a curated selection of wines, beers, and sake harvested from our own region and enjoyed by consumers the world over.
